Leo And Katrina Reunited On Air

The ‘Airline’ dream team of the 1990s are reuniting for a weekly radio show to support their former aviation colleagues

Leo Jones and Katrina Leeder won the hearts of the nation when they starred in one of the first ever reality shows for ITV while working as check-in agents for easyJet at Luton Airport.

Former supervisor Leo already has his own show on CCFM On Air, a unique digital radio station for cabin crew and their aviation colleagues. But chats with Katrina online during lockdown gave him the idea that they could meet up again over the airwaves.

The pair have remained firm friends since their easyJet days, and believe they have a special chemistry that listeners will love.

They have the chance to find out this Friday (July 10) when Leo and Katrina’s first show together, Galley FM, goes out at 2pm.

Leo worked in aviation for more than 20 years, and proved hugely popular with Airline fans for his cool, calm and cheeky approach to dealing with difficult situations.

Katrina, was also one of the most popular characters, and fought a very public battle with Cancer during her time on the show. She has since gone on to fight the disease a remarkable seven times more.

Now the mother of twin girls, Katrina has lived a private life since leaving easyJet but has decided to step back into the limelight for the sake of her friend and her former colleagues.

She said: “Due to the current dreadful situation facing the aviation industry, I really wanted to do something to try and lift people’s spirits. I jumped at the chance to work with Leo again and have come on board at CCFM On Air to do whatever I can to support them.”

Leo, also a dad of two, added: “Katrina and I have remained firm friends, we’re like brother and sister and we talk all the time. When I was thinking who I could present with on my Friday show there really was no-one else. We’ll be stepping back in time with some funny stories and anecdotes from our 12 years together at Luton Airport.”
